Volunteering for a Healthier Westminster(VfHW)

What We Do

VfHW works to increase voluntary activity within Westminsters free health services;  in hospitals, GP practices, health centres, at the PCT and more.  Volunteers involved in this scheme are members of the Westminster Community who not only help to enhance the services they support, but also improve on their own health and well being through participation.

How To Get Involved

As a volunteer

If you live in Westminster, use Westminster's free health or social care services yourself and have a few hours to spare each week or  month, then please contact us to  register your interest.   We will then arrange to meet with you and discuss your interests and availabilty,  then do our best to match you to the right opportunity. We are particularly keen to work with residents of Queens Park, Harrow Road, Westbourne, Church Street and South Westminster.

• Help others and yourself
• Have all out of pocket expenses reimbursed

 If you do not live in Westminster, you can still gain information on local opportunities by contacting out main reception /advice drop in service

• Set up new volunteer programmes and develop opportunities
• Promote your opportunities to potential volunteers
• Provide you with up to date advice on policy and good practice
• Gain access to a range of training targeted at Volunteer Managers
