Gareth Owen

Chief Executive

Gareth joined Volunteer Centre Westminster in March 2010 as Chief Executive. His responsibilities include the overall running and management of the Volunteer Centre.

Previously Gareth managed the Vinvolved Youth Volunteering Project across Surrey, hosted by Reigate and Redhill YMCA and, before that, he was responsible for the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) organisations in the districts of Tandridge and Reigate & Banstead. Up until 2005, Gareth worked in the banking industry.

Gareth’s thoughts on volunteering:
'I am particularly motivated by the many and varied benefits that volunteering brings to individuals from all walks of life, encapsulated in our organisation’s vision of ‘transforming lives through volunteering’ .
