Mike Winn

Project Coordinator for supporting adults with learning disabilities to volunteer

Mike joined Volunteer Centre Westminster in January 2010 and supports adults with learning disabilities into different volunteering roles.
Previously Mike worked as a Youth Volunteer Advisor on the youth volunteering project at the Volunteer Centre and when that project came to an end Mike moved on to assist the Elderly Befriending Scheme.
Mike’s thoughts on Volunteering:
I really like to promote volunteering as a very social way of learning new skills, which not only benefits the organization and local community, but also benefits the volunteer too. Knowing that you are giving something back can really raise your self-esteem and confidence.
