Department of Health Volunteering Fair June 2010

Time & Talents for Westminster were commissioned to design and run the Department of Health Volunteering Fair June 2010. Approximately 10 charity and community organisations had stalls at the fair, giving the opportunity for staff to find out what organisations do and to sign-up for volunteering opportunities.
"The organisation and delivery was thoroughly professional and it was an excellent event, with a fun and energising feel to it."

Ashley Westpfel, Whizz-Kids

The DH Permanent Secretary Hugh Taylor spoke briefly to participants and spent the rest of the time visiting stalls of charity and community organisations, personally signing up to do a number of volunteering projects! A cake and bake sale, along with strong internal comms prior to the fair helped to attract staff resulting in a strong turn-out and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Over sixty Department of Health staff signed up to volunteer with charity and community organisations present.
