Community Partner Membership Options

We provide brokerage and project support for our members. Our role is to get employee volunteers to engage with community groups, giving their time and skills. We are most interested to encourage projects that address real and high community needs in a meaningful and enhanced manner, i.e. projects that enable charities do things they could not have done on their own and that add value and use niche company skills. The diagram below best describes what we do.

TW Fina-12smallFor our charity partners, we aim to provide support to:

  • Co-develop and coordinate mutually beneficial employer-supported projects;
  • Help charities think through how to make best use of the time and skills of employee volunteers and what support they will require;
  • Promote charities' volunteering opportunities through a quarterly e-Noticeboard that is sent through to all our employer partners and their employees;
  • Make initial introductions and set up regular networking events for community and employer partners to meet and share good practice;
  • Encourage sustainable corporate involvement in the community by working closely with employers to ingrain the value of volunteerism and corporate citizenship to their business priorities and mainstream corporate functions;
  • Provide tools and templates to help charities integrate employer-supported volunteering as part of their overall strategy to involve volunteers in their organisation;
  • Evaluate projects and share learning with the rest of the partnership;
  • Recognise good quality partnerships between employers and charities and celebrate its impact and value in the community through the annual Volunteering Partnership Awards.
