Project support

Time & Talents works with employer and charity partners to set up projects. The diagram below shows how both the employer and community sides are supported to think through what they want to get out of working together, with flexible ongoing support as required. Our partnership philosophy is to work together to co-create projects, and empower leadership in others. We never want to take over.

Below, the diagram illustrates how the Time & Talents broker plays a role in building and maintain strong relationships with those coordinating volunteering within charity and employer organisations. We then make connections and facilitate introductions.

When working with a team of employees, it is best to nominate a team leader who can help develop the project and liaise directly with colleagues.

Through our work with many different organisations, we believe the best model for success is a ‘Champion - Coordinator model’. This is where a senior champion can endorse volunteering within the employer organization from the top and a dedicated coordinator can mobilise volunteers and support activities.
