Individual Volunteers

Helping improve access to volunteering

We have special projects at the centre which can support specific groups to volunteer.

These include:

• Supporting people with Learning Disabilities to volunteer (accessible webpages)
• Young Carers - helping create special opportunities for young people who care for a family member
• Unemployed people - our Volemploy project offers volunteering placements and mentors to support with job seeking

Supporting special types of volunteering

We also have projects support people interested in volunteering in specific areas.

These include:

• Befriending - including projects to befriend older people & people with learning disabilities
• Events Volunteering - Our City Guides project support large scale events in central London
• Mentoring - if you are currently working but wish to volunteer you could mentor a job seeker through vol employ
• Sports volunteering - for which you may also be able to gain funding for coaching qualifications
