Each quarter we will be focusing on a cause within the borough which we feel needs awareness to help you impact on an areas of need in your borough. This quarter we are focusing on homelessness.

There are many “types” of homelessness, such as rough sleeping, statutory homelessness, hidden homelessness, squatters and those in hostel accommodation.  Therefore there are many overlapping and complex reasons to why people become and stay homeless.

The charities in Westminster working tirelessly to support those who are currently experiencing or who have experienced homelessness understand solving homelessness is about much more than putting a roof over people's heads. They offer a wide range of services and deliver multiple projects to enable individuals to take positive steps to build their skills, confidence and capability to feel in control of their lives again and so they are able to move on from homelessness for good.
