Help with publishing migrants magazine

TheNewLondoner

We would like to draw on the skills of those experienced with Comms, writing copy and design to support an exciting magazine publishing initiative run by migrants for migrants in Westminster. The publication The New Londoner is produced approximately once a quarter, but they desperately need support on their editorial board (two sessions per quarter), with proof-reading individual articles and design work on days that the design team are working on the project. Here’s how you can get involved
  • If you have experience with comms / editorial experience: come to two editorial two which are coming up on 16th February and 16th March. Having looked through the articles before the meetings, you would contribute to developing the structure and the feel of the publication
  • If you have great grammar and writing skills: become a part of a team of volunteers who proof-read specific articles. This is a flexible role, so you could edit one article or a few and it can be done from your office.
  • If you have design experience: visit the design team at the organization’s offices when they are putting together the publication. You would contribute any ideas for ways to bring the publication alive through image and colour.
Interested? Why not drop us a line and we’ll get you started right away!

If you are a comms team and would like to get involved as a group we can help to organise it so that your team get the best experience out of getting involved with this project
