 Volunteer Centre Westminster Statistics
April-September 2011
During the six month period from April to September 2011 the Volunteer Centre saw continuous demand for its volunteering services.
Across all our projects over 3, 300 individuals registered an interest in volunteering and of these just under 1, 000 were placed in volunteering roles, including 378 employee volunteers.
57% of general registrations were from female and 43% male, and these spanned a wide age range with most falling into the 26-59 age group and came from a broad range of ethnic backgrounds reflecting our local demographics.
We continued to see interest in a wide range of types of volunteering with the most popular placement categories being administration, computer/tecnology/web-design, retail/charity shops and community work.
We also continued our volunteer management support services for local organisations, 45 attended training that we provided, and over 150 accessing advice and consultancy support. We also administered 291 CRB checks. During the period there were over 13, 000 visits to our website by over 9, 000 visitors.
