GetSetAlDigital T.V. Outreach Project

TV across UK is going digital.  The existing analogue TV signal will be switched off in London in May 2012 and replaced with a new stronger signal.

The switchover help scheme being run by the BBC helps everyone
aged 75 and over, or eligible disabled by arranging for an approved installer to supply and install everything they need to switch their TV to digital.

Volunteer Centre Westminster will be reaching out to all eligible people in Westminster and ensure that those who need help get it so that noone is left behind in the switch over to Digital Television.

One of the main ways is to look after or knows an individual who may be isolated or disadvantaged.  This will be achieved by our digital outreach volunteers going to places within our community where community supporters may visit, also asking for promotional material to be displayed.  This will  include cafes, libraries, shops, pubs, doctor surgeries to name just a few.
