Enterprise Week Event School (primary or senior)


Enterprise dayA school near Baker Street are seeking a team of volunteers to support them in running an activity so that the children can learn about real business tasks & team working.

Led by Time & Talents the volunteers will facilitate activities on tables with children, with around 1 volunteer per 6 children. The children will work in small groups (companies) to complete activities.

Activities include:
  • Creating own company name
  • After being assigned an industry, create a product idea
  • Create a prototype of the product using recycled materials
  • Create a pitch and poster
  • Present company and product to the class and volunteers

Volunteers judge which product is most viable & well presented and give a small prize

 

Requirements


Optional elements:

  • Initial meeting with the school in which we will co create the project (a Blue Bay team leader could attend this if they wish)
  • Input in project design (optional)
Essential elements:
  • Briefing/training session (including full details of the activities and timings) for volunteers either before the event or on the day
  • Debrief at the end of the project to discuss as a team how the day went & evaluation completion
  • Team of around 10 people
