Raising Aspirations & Goal Setting (primary or senior)
Help young people to consider their own life path and the options available to them, helping them think thorough their goals and the steps toward those goals and help them to focus their energy on positive action & enhancing their skills. You might use goal setting and visualisation-of-success techniques and bring in experience from the workplace, you can also talk about your own journeys to the workplace and about the world of work itself.
Optional extra: run an activity that simulates something in the workplace such as pitching to a new client or project Managment example
Requirements
Optional elements:
- Initial meeting with the school in which we will co create the project (a team leader could attend this if they wish)
- Input in project design (optional)
Essential elements:
- Briefing/training session (including full details of the activities and timings) for volunteers either before the event or on the day
- Debrief at the end of the project to discuss as a team how the day went & evaluation completion
