Business mentor for young people setting up a social enterprise
We are seeking volunteers who can provide mentoring and advice around business start up for a group of young people who will be setting up a new sports social enterprise as part of a community initiative.
 The role of a business mentor is to develop good working relationships with these young people over a period of time to help them develop their businesses whilst also building their confidence and skills.
The new community-led venture being set-up is called ‘Circle Cycles’. This is a scheme is to refurbish donated unclaimed byclcles from the police, and resold to local the community. The young people will be working with a Westminster organisation to get qualified bike service volunteers to support them in servicing the bikes. Any profit made will be reinvested back into this scheme to help even more young people gain new skills.
If you would like to volunteer as a business mentor, you must:
- Be prepared to volunteer at once or twice a month for a minimum of 4 months
- Visit the charity for an informal meeting
- Willing to apply for CRB check, if requested
