Welcome to the first edition of The Volunteer Centre Westminster e Newsletter. It is intended provide a snapshot of some of the wide range activities we are engaged in, and encourage you to find out more about our volunteering services either by contacting us directly or by visiting other areas of our web-site www.volunteer.co.uk

Having recently joined Westminster Volunteer Centre as CEO, I am looking forward to working closely with our dedicated team of volunteers, staff and trustees to develop volunteering services across Westminster and deliver our vision of ‘Transforming lives through volunteering.’

Many of you will have already come across us in one form or another, maybe helping to find volunteers to fill opportunities within your organisation or perhaps assisting you to find a rewarding voluntary role.

However, there are many areas of activity we are involved in that you may not yet be aware of, including, youth volunteering, employer supported volunteering, sports volunteering, city guides, volunteering for those with health or disability issues, volunteering services for the unemployed, CRB administration, local volunteering impact and evaluation r esearch and capacity-building, best practice advice, support and training for local voluntary organisations.
