Community Building: Partner's Meeting Nov 2009

Community Building

Hosted by Land Securities, Victoria, this Time & Talents Partners meeting was focused on creating a space for employer and community employer supported volunteering coordinators to strengthen relationships and connect on current projects.

Sessions throughout gave the opportunity for participants to consider the motivations and objectives in ESV, recognising that there are sometimes differences between the employer and the community organisation and that this can sometimes create challenges in terms of expectations. Through these discussions methods of overcoming these challenges and a clearer set of shared objectives were formulated between partners, creating trust and renewed commitment for quality ESV.

Partners collaborated together on developing sustainable skills-based project initiatives which genuinely benefit both the corporate and community partner organisations.
